Canwood Gallery
For Herefordshire Art Week, Canwood Gallery presents a not to be missed programme across its indoor galleries and ten acre sculpture park. In the Turbine Hall, Leah Wood's solo exhibition, An English Summer. Painting from hedgerows, meadows, and gardens, and capturing fleeting moments in bloom, the works explore the quiet richness of the season, its softness, abundance, and gentle sense of passing time.
In the main gallery, Liam Lacey presents New Territory, a new body of work responding to farming and the countryside. Alongside these exhibitions, work by the legendary Patricia Volk and Herefordshire based Sharon Yorke is shown in dialogue with pieces from Canwood’s permanent collection, offering visitors a broader view of contemporary practice.
Outside, the sculpture park showcases work by over 20 hugely talented sculptors set throughout the landscape, together with a special exhibition of the Earth Shot 2026 prize winners. Visitors are invited to explore the grounds at their own pace, discovering sculpture woven into the natural environment.
An on site café, free entry, and free parking make Canwood Gallery a welcoming and must visit destination throughout Herefordshire Art Week.
