Aetheria Studio will be the venue again this year to exhibit the work of Malvern artist Alison Simons. Alison's studio is set in the Aetheria gallery and she will be creating often during the event. Alison's work is inspired by nature, fantasy and escapism themes. She uses acrylic paints mixed with a variety of ingredients to cause chemical and physical interactions of the paint. These interactions are used selectively and with control to create elements of interest, sometimes creating abstract pieces and other times recognisable but impressionist works. Sometimes Alison incorporates an element of realism to her paintings using finely detailed brushwork. 23.5K gold leaf can also make an appearance on occasion.
