How would you describe the work you do and why?
Mark-making with natural materials and stoneware glaze, I create ceramic landscapes on tiles. Inspiration comes from the ever-changing landscapes that are out of my studio window on May Hill.

Your practice & activities include e.g workshops, teaching:
It is a treat to experiment and experience the pleasure of the making process and the alchemy that occurs in the kiln. It is both meditative and adrenaline pumping! I love having a production line; making multiple pieces enables me to take risks and let the glaze work its magic.
CV & Education, relevant & leading to your artistic practice:
(Many years ago) I studied at Sheffield Hallam University on the BA Sculpture course and then gained a First Class honours degree in Design and Art Direction at Manchester Metropolitan University. The sculptural and graphic influences combine in my work. I like carving into the clay like linocut.
Exhibitions in the last 3 years:
I have shown and sold my work at May Hill Market and open my studio to visitors on the FarOpen Studio Trail.
